Skye and Harris

Portree (Skye) Church

We are congregations of the Associated Presbyterian Churches meeting in Portree and Dunvegan on the beautiful Isle of Skye and at Seilebost on the Western side of the equally picturesque Island of Harris. We seek to bear witness to the orthodox Christian faith as enshrined in the Creeds of the early church and the Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms. We greatly cherish the catholicity of the church and the communion of the saints and therefore warmly welcome, worship and work with like-minded Christians. Our chief desire and delight is to proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and to devote ourselves to the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, the breaking of bread and prayer.

Our worship is founded and focussed on the word of God. We sing the word, pray the word, read the word and preach the Word to the praise and glory of the God of the word. Our aim is to worship God in spirit and in truth.

It is our goal to be faithful and friendly, to be caring and considerate while compelling and contending for the faith. We want to see sinners saved and believers growing in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, in the context of a fellowship of love. A warm welcome awaits you.
