The Stornoway congregation commenced in 1989 when the APC came into existence by seceding from the Free Presbyterian Church. They worship in a new building built by the members themselves in December 1995 which is fairly centrally situated in the town.  As well as the mid-week meeting there is a Good News Club on Friday nights which is effectively an Outreach to children. There is usually some sort of Evangelistic activity similar to Christianity Explored held in the church during the winter months and sometimes a Bible Study as well. There are four Communions per annum. Fellowships are held twice monthly after the evening service during the winter. The congregation have a good relationship with other churches in the town

The Stornoway congregation of the APC meets in the APC Church, 72 Keith Street 11am & 6.30pm on the Lord’s Day and at 7.30pm on Thursdays.
