Blythswood Care
Blythswood Care grew from the burden of a group of theological students in Glasgow in 1966. They recognised that people need the Lord and began to reach out to those around them.
The Lord has prospered the work so that now they operate a fleet of trucks delivering all manner of aid to third world countries, as far apart as Romania, Liberia and Argentina.
Their mission is to care for the whole man – ‘Christian Care for Body and Soul’ – and so they also distribute Bibles, books and tracts, and provide Bible Study correspondence courses in Mark and Acts. There are also several charity shops throughout the country.
The work expanded greatly in the 1990s under the vision and drive of the late Rev John W Ross, one of the original students, who ministered to the Lochcarron congregation until his death in 2002.
